A Show of Support for the Library

We are delighted to announce that our Friends of the Library Breakfast earlier this week raised more than $100,000 in support of the Library.

Thank you to everyone who attended or made a donation in support of the Library. We would also like to acknowledge John Anderson, one of our guest speakers, who generously offered to match up to $50,000 in donations made that morning.

The location change to the South side of the main floor of Central Library provided a unique backdrop that allowed guests to experience the full impact of Engine 23.

A number of talented individuals spoke about the transformational impact of the Library, including Mr. Anderson, a long-time volunteer who has worked with with children through the TD Read with Me program, and Steve Wigglesworth and Jessica Gloge from C.N. Gunn School, who shared the impact It’s a Crime Not to Read has had on their students.

We also shared a powerful video, which we won’t spoil if you weren’t able to attend, as it will be shown again at the next fundraising breakfast, which will be held in the spring.
