Escaping the Space Prison

On Friday, September 15, more than 900 prisoners—doing time for Library crimes like dog-earing pages, using treasured books as coasters, or spoiling the ending of a great novel—raced through all seven levels of the Central Library trying to escape the space prison.

The first team to board the escape pod and correctly decode the final puzzle was History’s Greatest Monsters. Congratulations for beating the Locked Library in under an hour!

Thank you to everyone who registered and participated in our largest Locked Library—together, we raised $30,000 in support of the Library. We would also like to thank our partner, Beakerhead and  Anders Svensson, the creative genius behind the Locked Library and Treasure League. Stay tuned for more Library After Dark events!
