Last Saturday, the Library held its first family-friendly storytime led by local drag queens and kings.

Reading with Royalty, which is held in partnership with Calgary Pride and the Fairy Tales Presentation Society, aims to spark imagination and celebrate inclusion and diversity. The inaugural storytime garnered quite a bit of excitement and was an opportunity to bring families in to learn together and support members of the community.

The Library plans to host the program monthly. The next storytime will be held at Village Square on Saturday, March 3 at 11:30am, followed by Saddletowne on Saturday, April 7 at 2:15 pm.Registration is not required, and more information can be found on calgarylibrary.ca.
